During the 1,000 days of the full-scale invasion, Russian troops used more than 2,500 missiles and drones of various types to attack the Ukrainian capital. This was reported by the Kyiv City Military Administration (KCMA) on Telegram.
According to the KIAA, 1369 air raid alerts were sounded in Kyiv in 1,000 days, lasting a total of 1,553 hours. These alerts were accompanied by continuous attacks:
- 1600 drones of various modifications;
- 800 cruise missiles(Kh-101, Iskander-K, Kh-69);
- 90 ballistic missiles(Iskander-M, KN-23);
- 40 Kinzhzhal aeroballistic missiles;
- 6 Zircon hypersonic missiles.
In 2024 alone, Kyiv suffered almost 1,250 air strikes. Among them were massive combined attacks, when the enemy used dozens of missiles and drones simultaneously. The largest attack on the capital involved up to 80 weapons at a time.
Despite this unprecedented number of attacks, Ukraine’s air defence system is proving its effectiveness every day. Thanks to the efforts of the military, Kyiv remains an unwavering symbol of resistance and resilience.
The massive attacks on Kyiv demonstrate the strategic importance of the capital for the enemy, but also highlight the heroism of Ukrainian defenders and the resilience of the civilian population. Ukraine continues to fight for its future despite all the challenges and threats.
