101 combat engagements were registered in the frontline: Ukrainian Armed Forces hold defence in key areas

Over the past day, Ukrainian defenders repelled 101 attacks by Russian occupants, with the most intense fighting taking place in the Pokrovske and Lyman sectors. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a morning briefing on 7 February.

In the Pokrovsk sector, the enemy carried out 36assault attacks, in particular in the areas of Zelene Pole, Vodiane Druha, Novotoretske, Pokrovsk, Pishchane, Myroliubivka and Andriivka. Ukrainian soldiers responded with dignity, preventing the Russians from advancing.

In the Toretsk sector, the enemy attacked 13 times in the areas of Diliyivka and Toretsk.

In the Liman sector, 20 attacks were registered: Russian forces unsuccessfully tried to break through the defences near Zelenyi Hai, Hrekivka, Novosergiivka, Yampolivka, Terny and Kolodyazy.

In the Kharkiv sector, one occupant attack was registered near Vovchansk, and in the Kupyansk sector, five attacks were registered near Lozova, Petropavlivka and Nova Kruhliakivka.

In the Siverskyi sector, the enemy attacked twice in the vicinity of Bilohorivka, and in the Kramatorsk sector – three times in the vicinity of Chasovyi Yar.

In the Novopavlivka sector, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled eight attacks in the areas of Lysivka, Kostiantynopil and Rozdolne. In the Kursk operational area, five enemy attacks were repelled.

Ukrainian Armed Forces counterattack: missile troops and artillery struck 14 areas where occupants’ personnel and equipment were concentrated, and destroyed an enemy cannon.

The situation on the frontline remains tense, but the Ukrainian Defence Forces continue to destroy the enemy and hold strategic positions.
