96 combat engagements in the last day: the situation was the most intense in the Pokrovsk sector, the enemy used drones and artillery

Over the past 24 hours, on 20 April, 96 combat engagements took place on the frontline between Ukrainian defenders and Russian troops, as reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in its daily summary as of 08:00 on Monday, 21 April.

The hottest area remains Pokrovske, where the enemy conducted 39 assault attacks in the areas of Sukhoi Balka, Myroliubivka, Yelizavetivka, Lysivka, Kotlynne, Udachne, Novooleksandrivka, Uspenivka, Preobrazhenka, Andriivka and Rozlyv. All attacks were repelled by Ukrainian defence forces.

In total, the Russian army fired 1,882 times over the past day, including 33 times with multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), and used 957 kamikaze drones in an attempt to break through the Ukrainian defences in various parts of the frontline.

  • In the Kharkiv sector, the enemy attacked near Krasniy Pershyi.
  • In Kupyanske, in the Golubivka area.
  • In the Liman sector, there were 12 attacks in the areas of Nadiya, Myrne, Hrekivka, Katerynivka, Novyi and Yampolivka.
  • In the Siverske sector, there were three assaults near Bilohorivka and Ivano-Daryivka.
  • In Kramatorsk, there were five attacks in the area of Chasovyi Yar, Stupochky and Bila Hora.
  • In Toretsk, there were 10 attacks near Druzhba, Toretsk and Leonidivka.
  • In the Novopavlivka sector, there were five attacks near Kostiantynopil, Skudne and Odradne.
  • In Orikhivske, there were four attacks in the areas of Mala Tokmachka, Mali Shcherbaky and Stepove.
  • The situation remained unchanged in the Gulyaypillia and Prydniprovsky sectors, no combat activity was recorded.
  • No enemy activity was detected in the Volyn and Polissya sectors.

In addition, in the Kursk region, Russia fired 184 times at Ukrainian territory, 17 of which were from multiple rocket launchers. Our defence forces managed to stop 16 enemy assaults.

The artillery and missile forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces accurately hit the area where enemy forces, equipment and artillery of the Russian army were concentrated.
