Last night, the Russian army launched a massive attack on Ukraine, firing 72 attack drones, including Shahed and other types of drones. Ukraine’s air defence forces shot down 47 of them, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.

Active opposition on all fronts

Aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups were deployed to repel the attack. The downing of the drones was confirmed in 11 regions, in particular:

  • Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kyiv
  • Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kirovograd
  • Dnipro, Odesa, Kherson, Mykolaiv.

Locally lost drones

Due to the active counteraction of Ukrainian forces, 24 enemy drones were lost in the area, which means they were neutralised without any negative consequences. One drone remains in the air, and the situation continues to be monitored.

This night was another example of the effective work of Ukraine’s air defence system, which is constantly improving and adapting to new threats.
