On the night of 26 December, Russian forces launched a massive attack on Ukraine using 31 drones. Thanks to the coordinated work of the air defence system, 20 attack drones, including Shahed, and several other types were destroyed, the Ukrainian Air Force reported.

The results of the attack:

• Attack locations: Kharkiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv and Dnipro regions.
• Enemy losses: 20 unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed.
• Imitation drones: 11 enemy imitation drones were lost in the area, which did not lead to any negative consequences.

Ukraine was protected:

• Anti-aircraft missile troops.
• Electronic warfare (EW) units.
• Mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Defence Forces.

“Despite the intensity of the enemy’s attacks, our military is effectively repelling threats from the air. Each destroyed drone means protection of civilians and critical infrastructure of Ukraine,” the Air Force said.
