Ukrainian troops repelled a massive assault by Russian troops in the Kupyansk sector, destroying an enemy armoured group. This was reported by the press service of the Khortytsia Operational and Strategic Grouping of troops on its Telegram channel.

Details of the operation

According to the Khortytsia JFO, the enemy brought in five armoured vehicles: two tanks and three infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs) with troops. Thanks to the aerial reconnaissance of Ukrainian units, the enemy’s equipment was detected in a timely manner.

“The enemy’s infantry fighting vehicles were attacked before they approached the landing site, but at the site of the haste, the enemy faced active Ukrainian drones dropping ammunition,” the press service said.

The results of the strokes

Ukrainian defenders destroyed one enemy tank and one armoured personnel carrier beyond repair. The enemy infantry, left without technical support, was eliminated while trying to hide in the forest by drone strikes.

“The enemy personnel, having lost their armoured vehicles, were unable to manoeuvre or attack further,” the Khortytsia JFO stressed.

This successful operation of the Ukrainian military once again demonstrates the effectiveness of the use of drones and the high level of training of the Defence Forces at the front.
