Ukraine’s defence forces are successfully restraining Russian offensives in the Kharkiv sector, making it as difficult as possible for the enemy to cross the Oskil River, which prevents it from posing a real threat to Kupiansk.
This was reported by Pavlo Shamshyn, spokesperson for the Kharkiv military grouping, during a telethon.
The main thing:
- In the area of Dvorichna, the enemy is trying to expand the bridgehead to enter Kupiansk from the north.
- The Russians are unable to set up the pontoon crossings as Ukrainian forces destroy the equipment before it is completed.
- On the western bank of the Oskol, Russia has no stable supply, which makes advancement virtually impossible.
“The enemy’s specialised equipment is destroyed as it approaches the shore or pontoons are deployed,” Shamshyn noted.
Vovchansk direction:
- Russia conducts daily assault operations in the area of Vovchansk and surrounding villages.
- The attacks are carried out in small groups of 3-10 people, using motorcycles and ATVs.
- The enemy tries to avoid detection by the drones, but the noise of the engines gives them away.
“The city of Vovchansk has been destroyed almost to the foundation. Artillery, multiple rocket launchers, heavy flamethrowers – all of this is being used every day,” the spokesman said.
Sticky notes are under control:
- The village of Lyptsi is fully controlled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
- An attempted breakthrough a few weeks ago was detected by aerial reconnaissance in time – the enemy suffered heavy losses and retreated.
