Explosions in the Tver region of Russia: attack on an oil depot by drones

On the night of 27 January, explosions were heard in the Tver region. Russian media report an attempted drone attack on a local oil depot. Governor Igor Rudenya states that “there were no casualties or damage”.

According to the Shot Telegram channel, eyewitnesses heard the distinctive sound of drones before the explosions, after which the air defence system was activated.

The governor of the region, Ihor Rudenya, said that the attack did not damage the infrastructure and that there were no casualties. At the same time, Russian sources claim that the attack targeted an oil depot.

The Ukrainian side has not yet commented on these events.

The Russian Ministry of Defence claimed to have “shot down 32 drones” overnight, but did not provide confirmation or details of the locations of the incidents.
