Fierce fighting at the frontline: Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 216 attacks, most of them in the Pokrovsk sector

Over the last day, 216 combat engagements took place on the frontline, 79 of them in the Pokrovsk sector. The Russian army continues massive shelling of Ukrainian positions and settlements, using missiles, aircraft and kamikaze drones. This was reported by the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook .

During the day, the aggressor carried out 99 air strikes, fired three missiles and dropped 169 guided aerial bombs. Over 5,200 artillery attacks were registered, including 124 from multiple launch rocket systems. The hottest fighting continues in the areas of Vovchansk, Kupyansk, Lyman, Kramatorsk, Toretsk and Orikhiv.

Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled seven attacks in the Kharkiv sector, nine in the Kupyansk sector and 26 in the Liman sector. The enemy continues to conduct assault operations in Donetsk region, trying to advance towards Chasovyi Yar, Toretsk and Novomykhailivka.

Ukrainian missile troops and artillery struck two areas where occupiers’ personnel were concentrated, as well as an important Russian military facility.

Despite the fierce intensity of the attacks, the Ukrainian Defence Forces continue to hold their positions, inflicting significant losses on the enemy.
