As of 6 December, the situation on the frontline remains extremely tense, particularly in the Pokrovske and Kurakhove sectors, where the enemy carried out more than 60 attacks in the last day alone. This is stated in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The main areas of enemy activity:
- Kharkiv direction: Russian forces stormed the positions of Ukrainian units in the areas of Vovchansk, Tykhy, Vysoka Yaruga and Kozacha Lopan. Two firefights are currently ongoing.
- Kupiansk direction: Five attacks were registered in the areas of Kolisnykivka, Lozova, Zahryzove and Zakhidne. Four of the attacks are ongoing.
- Liman direction: The enemy is trying to advance near Cherneshchyna, Hrekivka, Kopanky, Nadiya, Makiivka, Torske and Terny. Eleven combat engagements were registered over the last day, two of them are still ongoing.
- Kramatorsk sector: Five occupants’ assault actions near Bila Hora and Stupochky, two battles are ongoing.
- Toretsk sector: Increase in the number of attacks to four in the areas of Toretsk, Diliyivka and Shcherbynivka. Two attacks were repelled, two more are ongoing.
- Pokrovske direction: The hottest area with 32 attacks over the last day near Myroliubivka, Promen, Lysivka, Zhovte and Chumatske. Ukrainian defence forces repelled 21 attacks, 11 engagements are ongoing.
- Kurakhove direction: The enemy carried out 30 attacks in the areas of Staryi Terny, Zorya, Sontsivka, Kurakhove, Dachne and Dalne. Fighting continues in 11 locations.
- Vremivsk sector: Ukrainian forces repelled seven attacks in the areas of Uspenivka, Kostiantynopolske, Rozdolne, Novodarivka and Novosilka. Five of the attacks are ongoing.
- Orikhivske direction: An enemy attack in the direction of Novodanilivka was repelled.
- Prydniprovskyi direction: One attack was unsuccessful.
No significant changes were recorded in other parts of the frontline.
The main point: The Ukrainian Armed Forces are holding the line, holding off numerous enemy attacks. The General Staff calls for calm and support for Ukrainian defenders.
