Over the past day, the Ukrainian Defence Forces continued to heroically hold back the Russian occupiers’ offensive, inflicting significant losses on all fronts. According to a report by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 167 combat engagements were recorded on 25 January, during which the enemy suffered significant losses in manpower and equipment.
Massive enemy attacks
The aggressor carried out 65 air strikes on the positions of Ukrainian defenders and populated areas, dropping 113 guided aerial bombs. The occupiers also conducted more than 5,000 artillery attacks, including 104 using multiple launch rocket systems. The attacks involved 1969 kamikaze drones.
The main attacks were directed at the areas of Beryslav (Kherson region) and Mala Tokmachka (Zaporizhzhia region).
Results of the Ukrainian Armed Forces counterattacks
The missile forces and artillery of the Ukrainian Defence Forces conducted powerful strikes on four areas where Russian troops were concentrated. A control centre for the occupiers’ unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) was also destroyed.
Over the past day, the enemy has lost:
- 1720 military personnel;
- 9 tanks;
- 4 armoured combat vehicles;
- 14 artillery systems;
- 40 operational and tactical drones;
- 53 units of automotive equipment.
Areas of the most active fighting
- In theKupyansk sector, nine enemy attacks were successfully repelled in the areas of Petropavlivka, Pishchane, Hlushkivka and Lozova.
- Liman direction: 26 attacks, in particular in the areas of Tverdokhlibove, Novosergiivka, Shyikivka, Makiivka and Torske.
- Kramatorsk sector: 33 enemy attacks in the areas of Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Chasovyi Yar and Bila Hora.
- In the Pokrovsksector, 52 attacks were stopped in the areas of Vodiane Druha, Myrolyubivka, Kostiantynopilske and Pokrovsk.
- Novopavlivka sector: nine attacks were repelled in the areas of Novosilka, Kostiantynopil and Velyka Novosilka.
No signs of enemy offensive groups were detected in the Volyn, Polissia, Orikhiv and Huliaypillia sectors.
