In April, the Ukrainian Defence Forces destroyed more than 83,000 enemy targets using attack and reconnaissance drones. This was announced by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, who emphasised the rapid growth of the drone component’s effectiveness at the front.
“In April alone, our drones hit and destroyed over 83,000 enemy targets. These include tanks, guns, MLRS, vehicles, dugouts, observation posts and other elements of the enemy’s combat formations,” emphasised Syryskyi.
He noted that drones have already become an integral part of modern warfare, and Ukraine is one of the world leaders in their use. According to the Commander-in-Chief, reconnaissance UAVs also play a significant role, detecting up to 10,000 targets daily to adjust artillery.
The general also drew attention to the importance of increasing the production of drones and rapid supply to the front line to ensure constant pressure on the enemy.
