Russian troops intensified their assault pressure in several key frontline areas. The fiercest fighting is taking place near Pokrovsk, Lyman and Toretsk. Over the past day, 6 April, 165 combat engagements were recorded. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a morning update.
In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders stopped 53 enemy attacks. The aggressor unsuccessfully tried to break through near Sukha Balka, Kalynove, Yelizavetivka, Uspenivka and other localities.
In the Liman sector, 22 breakthrough attempts were registered, including near Novoyehorivka, Yampolivka and Ridkodub. All attacks were repelled.
The Toretsk sector also became the scene of intense fighting, with 18 assaults by the Russian-backed militants, including near Dachne and Toretsk.
The situation in the Kursk sector is particularly noteworthy, where Ukrainian troops repelled 35 attacks and suffered 212 artilleryattacks, 13 of which were from multiple rocket launchers. In addition, the occupiers carried out 16 air strikes using 27 guidedmissiles.
Defensive battles continue in the Kharkiv, Kupyansk, Siversk, Orikhiv, Huliaipil, Prydniprovsky and Novopavlivka sectors. All enemy attacks were successfully repelled.
At the same time, Ukrainian artillery struck at 8 places where enemy troops and equipment were concentrated.
