The intelligence community reports on the tragic fate of many Israeli hostages taken by the radical Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip. According to information provided by the Israel Hayom newspaper, citing intelligence sources, about 30 prisoners were executed by militants. Another seven were killed during operations by the IDF, the Israeli armed forces, in the Gaza Strip.
Of the 101 hostages taken by Hamas, only 51 remain alive, according to intelligence reports. Israeli intelligence is concerned about the conditions of the hostages and the actions of the militants, which are likely to increase the risk to the lives of the prisoners.
The IDF continues military operations in the Gaza Strip to kill Hamas militants and free hostages, but each new attack creates additional dangers for the prisoners.
