On the eve of 7 October, in preparation for the anniversary of the tragic events that took place in 2022, Israel will intensify its military operations on several fronts. According to The Guardian, the country is planning a major strike against Iranian targets in response to recent attacks, including ballistic missile launches aimed at Israeli targets.
The reason for the increased military activity was the statement of French President Emmanuel Macron, who called for an international arms embargo on Israel in the context of its operations in the Gaza Strip. Macron stressed the importance of a political solution to the conflict and noted that France does not supply weapons to Israel.
Anonymous sources in Israeli military circles have reported that large-scale strikes on Iranian targets are planned in the coming days. Already on Saturday, Israel attacked targets in Lebanon, Syria and Gaza, indicating preparations for a possible escalation of the conflict.
US President Joe Biden expressed concern over the situation, calling for alternative measures to be considered instead of strikes on Iranian oil facilities. He stressed that Washington does not support attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities, indicating a desire to avoid further escalation of the conflict.
The growing tension in the region is a matter of concern for the international community, and further developments could have serious consequences for both Israel and Iran.
