The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) carried out an air strike on the outskirts of Beirut, killing a Hezbollah militant who was coordinating Hamas’ actions and planning a terrorist attack against Israeli civilians.
According to the Times of Israel, a joint statement by the IDF and the Israeli security service Shin Bet said that the killed terrorist posed a “real and immediate threat”.
Israel continues to maintain strategic positions in southern Lebanon, stressing that the Lebanese authorities are not doing enough to fight Hezbollah and other militant groups. Tensions between the two countries are growing, and the conflict is gaining momentum.
