The Israeli military launched an air strike on a tunnel used by the Hezbollah group to smuggle weapons between Syria and Lebanon. This was reported by the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) on Telegram.
According to Israeli intelligence, the facility was located in the Bekka area and played a key role in providing militants with weapons. In addition, it is noted that this tunnel had previously been attacked by Israeli forces due to its strategic importance.
During the operation, Israeli aircraft also destroyed several ammunition depots and rocket launchers, which, according to the military, posed a direct threat to the country’s security.
The IDF stresses that this attack is part of measures to prevent escalation and violation of the agreements between Israel and Lebanon. The Israeli military also stressed its readiness to continue actions aimed at eliminating threats and preventing the restoration of Hezbollah’s military capabilities.
