Viktor Tregubov, spokesman for the Khortytsia operational and strategic grouping of troops, said there was no evidence of the capture of Lozova in Izium district of Kharkiv region by Russian troops.

“As for Lozova. It is difficult for me to say where the information about its capture comes from. The information from the ground is opposite. There is not even information about any serious clashes there, at least as of now,” Tregubov said during the telethon.

According to him, the situation in the area remains under control, and operational data does not confirm active hostilities or loss of positions.

This statement was made amid rumours of a possible breakthrough by the Russian military in the region, which have not yet been officially confirmed.

Ukrainian troops continue to hold their positions and monitor the situation, said the Khortytsia military unit spokesman.
