Massive attack of the Russian Federation: Ukraine repels missile and drone strikes

On the night of 11 March, Russian troops launched a massive attack on the territory of Ukraine, using an Iskander-M ballistic missile and 126 Shahed attack drones and simulators.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Ukrainian air defence destroyed the missile and 79 enemy UAVs. Fighter aircraft, anti-aircraft missile troops, mobile fire groups, and electronic warfare units took part in repelling the attack.

Hostile targets were shot down in Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa and Kherson regions. Another 35 imitator drones were lost locally without any negative consequences.

The attack damaged civilian infrastructure and energy facilities in Donetsk, Odesa, Kharkiv, Sumy and Kyiv regions.
