Massive attack on Ukraine: more than 440 drones and 32 missiles, 15 dead – Zelensky calls on the world to respond decisively

Russia carried out one of the largest attacks during the full-scale war, firing more than 440 Shahed attack drones and 32 missiles at Ukraine on Monday night. This was announced by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy on his Telegram channel.

“One of the most terrible blows to Kyiv. An entire entrance of a residential building was destroyed. Houses in eight districts of the capital were damaged. There are victims, and the rubble is being cleared,” the President said.

Odesa, Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv and Kyiv regions were targeted. The attacks killed at least 15 people and injured 75 others. The exact number of victims may increase, and rescue operations are ongoing.

The President called on the international community, especially the United States and European countries, not to delay their reaction.

“This is not a war – this is terrorism. Putin is acting only because he feels impunity. The world must respond in the same way it responds to terrorists,” Zelenskyy stressed.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal also condemned Russia’s actions, stressing that they have nothing to do with diplomacy or peace. He called on partners to strengthen sanctions and increase military assistance to Ukraine.
