The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) reported a new rocket attack on Israeli territory on Tuesday night.

This was reported by CNN.

“In a statement, the Israeli Defence Forces ordered residents to go to bomb shelters and stay there until further notice,” the statement said.

Air raid sirens were sounded in a number of northern regions of the country. According to The Times of Israel, the alarm covered Haifa, Israel’s third largest city, and surrounding areas.

The IDF reported that air defence systems had successfully intercepted some of the Iranian rockets fired at Israel. Information on possible damage or casualties is currently being clarified.

This is the second massive strike against Israel in the last few days, following the launch of Israel’s Operation Rising Lion in response to a previous Iranian attack.

The situation in the region continues to deteriorate, with Israel on high alert.
