North Korean troops stationed in the Kursk region of Russia are not currently directly involved in hostilities against Ukraine, but are in a state of readiness to engage immediately. This was stated during a briefing at the Pentagon by Deputy Spokesperson for the US Department of Defence Sabrina Singh, Ukrinform reports.

“DPRK troops are still in the Kursk region,” she said.

The US side has not yet recorded any direct participation of the North Korean military in hostilities in Ukraine. However, the Pentagon confirms that North Korean soldiers are on standby.

“We know they are ready to engage and we continue to monitor the situation,” Sabrina Singh said.
