On Monday, 18 November, Russia launched a ballistic missile attack on a residential area in Odesa, demonstrating that its only goal remains war. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his Facebook post.
According to him, the strike hit a car park, damaging an apartment block, a university and an administrative building.
“As of now, eight people have been reported dead. My condolences to the families and friends. Almost two dozen more people have been injured,” the Head of State wrote.
The President noted that all necessary services were involved to help the victims.
“These are not random strikes – these are demonstrative strikes. After calls and meetings with Putin, after all the false gossip in the media about the alleged ‘refraining’ from strikes. Russia is showing what it is really interested in: only war. And this signal should be heard in all parts of the world, from the halls where the G20 members meet to all the capitals of the world,” Zelenskyy stressed.
The attack is yet another proof that Russia has no intention of stopping its aggression and is using terrorist methods to target civilians.
