Despite Moscow’s loud statements about the alleged introduction of a “ceasefire”, the reality on the frontline shows the opposite. Russian troops continue to attack the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine – from Sumy to Donetsk region. Andriy Demchenko, spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, said this during a national telethon.
“Despite the fact that Russia said it was introducing a ceasefire, they continue to shell the positions of Ukrainian defenders – within Sumy region, Kharkiv region and Donetsk region. This is confirmed by our servicemen,” said Demchenko.
According to him, in certain areas, Russian troops are actively using artillery, attack drones, FPV drones, and explosives from drones. In Sumy region, small arms fire was recorded at the positions of Ukrainian border guards.
“There was a small arms attack on the Sumy section of the line of contact,” he said.
Demchenko stressed that the “truce” declared by Russia is a purely propaganda gesture that has nothing to do with the actual observance of the ceasefire.
“This was done solely to create an informational picture. In fact, the Russians do not adhere to any agreements, not even their own statements,” the spokesman concluded.
The situation on the frontline remains tense, and Ukrainian defenders continue to repel the enemy on all fronts, despite the enemy’s attempts to manipulate the information space.
