Despite public statements about its readiness for negotiations and a “truce”, Russia has significantly increased the intensity of hostilities on the frontline, in particular by concentrating its main forces in the Pokrovsk sector. This was reported by the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi.

According to him, the enemy is conducting active hostilities, in particular in the areas of Ocheretyne, Yevhenivka, Novoselivka Persha and Sokol, trying to break through the defences of Ukrainian forces. Russians attack daily with the support of armoured vehicles, actively use aviation and assault groups that prepare in advance.

The threat of a breakthrough remains relevant, but Ukrainian forces continue to hold their positions, inflicting significant losses on the enemy.

Syrskyi emphasised that the Kremlin’s statements about the ceasefire are a manipulation aimed at demoralising Ukrainian society and creating a false impression among the international community. In reality, the Russian Federation continues to conduct an offensive campaign, building up its forces and sending new units into battle.
