Russian troops continue their active offensive in the Donetsk region, seeking to fulfil the Kremlin’s order to fully occupy the region. At the same time, the enemy is trying to regain the territories from which it was previously driven out by Ukrainian forces. This was reported on television by Ivan Tymochko, chairman of the Council of Reservists of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to him, the Russians are aware that they will not be able to quickly take over Donetsk region, so they hope to regain control over the lost territories, in particular in Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions.

In the Vovchansk sector, there is an increase in the number of combat engagements, although no sharp increase in enemy offensive forces has been recorded so far. At the same time, Russian attacks in the Kupiansk sector are of medium intensity, while in the Lyman sector their number has increased significantly.

In the area of Toretsk, Russians are trying to break through Ukrainian defences, and the largest number of combat engagements is currently recorded near Pokrovsk – up to 70 attacks per day. The enemy also continues to try to break through in the Novopavlivka direction and take control of the M-15 road.

Russians have also become more active in the Orikhiv and Hulyaypillia directions. In Kherson region, the situation remains stable, with localised clashes, but without a significant increase in the intensity of hostilities.
