Russian troops are increasingly using motorcycles in their assault operations against small settlements in Donetsk region. This was reported by the spokesperson for the Luhansk military operation, Lieutenant Colonel Dmytro Zaporozhets, during a telethon.
“The enemy is increasingly using motorcycles to conduct assault operations. Especially in the Toretsk sector, where they are trying to storm small settlements using motorcycles,” the military said.
According to him, in the past 24 hours alone, Russians stormed Yablunivka twice: first with three and then with five motorcycles. Ukrainian defenders destroyed half of the equipment and personnel, while the rest fled, taking advantage of the darkness.
“It is already widespread along the entire contact line – both in the Siversk and Kramatorsk sectors,” added the lieutenant colonel.
Moreover, the occupants significantly intensified artillery shelling. In the Kramatorsk sector alone, 231 artillery strikes were recorded over the past day. The activity in the Toretsk sector has also increased: while last month the average number of attacks was 80-90 per day, today it is over 100.
“This is due to the fact that the enemy has started storming new settlements that it had not previously attacked, such as in the direction of Yablunivka,” Zaporozhets summed up.
