Russian troops have launched a combined missile and drone strike on Ukraine’s capital for the first time in 73 days. This was reported by the Kyiv City Military Administration (KCMA) on Wednesday, 13 November.
The attack allegedly involved air-launched cruise missiles, KN-23, KN-24, Iskander-M ballistic missiles, and Shahed, Geranium, Gerbera, and Parody drones.
The air alert in Kyiv was announced at 6:30 am due to the threat of drones from the east. At that time, cruise missiles were already moving towards Kyiv region. Simultaneously, as the missiles approached the city, Russian troops launched a ballistic missile strike on the capital and completed the attack with a new wave of drones. In total, the air strike lasted more than two hours.
The Ukrainian air defence forces managed to destroy several cruise and ballistic missiles, as well as up to a dozen drones. According to preliminary reports, there are no casualties or damage in Kyiv.
