Russian troops have made a significant advance in Donetsk region, capturing five settlements at once. This was reported by the DeepState analytical project on Saturday, 14 December.

According to DeepState, the occupiers seized the villages of Veselyi Hai, Yelizavetivka, Romanivka, Novotroitske and Pushkine. In addition, advances were recorded in the areas of seven other settlements: Kostyantynopilske, Sukhi Yaly, Shevchenko, Dalne, Pishchane, Blahodatne and Storozheve.

Most of the hostile actions were recorded in the area of the so-called Uspensky sack in the Kurakhove sector, where Ukrainian Armed Forces units are engaged in fierce fighting to avoid encirclement.

The day before, the Armed Forces of Ukraine said that the situation in the area of Uspenivka remains tense. The command is taking all necessary measures to deter the enemy and prevent further loss of territory.

The Russian occupiers continue active offensive actions, focusing their efforts on key areas, which threatens the stability of Ukraine’s defensive positions in the region.

The Ukrainian side calls for calm and trust only official sources of information.
