Russia strikes at Kyiv: 8 injured, fires in three districts of the capital

On the night before 24 May, Russian troops launched a combined attack on Kyiv and the region using attack drones and ballistic missiles. The attack injured at least eight people, two of whom were hospitalised.

This was reported by the State Emergency Service, publishing footage from the sites of the hits.

Fires in three districts of the capital

A fire broke out in Solomensky district in apartments on the 4th and 5th floors of a five-storey residential building. Rescuers rescued a man who was taken to hospital with combustion product poisoning.

In Obolon district, the balconies of a 9-storey building caught fire – simultaneously on the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th floors. Three residents were evacuated, and four others sought medical attention with signs of acute stress reaction.

In Svyatoshinsky district, a fire broke out in a one-storey non-residential building where paint and varnish materials were stored. The fire is being extinguished, and information about the victims is being clarified.

Region: those affected in Berezan

A fire broke out in a private house in Berezan, Kyiv region, as a result of the fall of UAV wreckage. Two people were injured and provided with medical assistance.

Rescue and emergency services are working on the ground. A total of 8 injuries were reported in Kyiv and 2 in the region.
