The Khortytsia operational group of troops (OTG) reports intensified attacks by Russian troops on two important frontline areas – the Siversky and Lyman sectors.

Northern direction

Russians attacked the fortifications of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Bilohorivka. As a result of the assault and heavy fire, some of the positions were destroyed.

“All necessary measures are being taken to prevent further deterioration of the tactical situation,” said representatives of the Khortytsia unit.

Liman direction

In this area, Russian troops attempted to storm Ukrainian positions in the districts:

• Hopes.
• Kopanok
• Novoyehorivka
• Makiivka
• Ternov

The assaults were accompanied by intense artillery fire, but Ukrainian defenders continue to hold the line.

Reaction of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Despite the growing intensity of attacks, the Ukrainian military is in control of the situation and demonstrates its determination to deter the enemy. The Khortytsia military unit emphasises that all necessary measures are being taken to stabilise the situation at the frontline.

The Russian army continues to concentrate its forces in important areas of the frontline, but Ukrainian defences remain strong and steadfast.
