The Russian Ministry of Defence has announced a large-scale drone attack, which they say took place on the night of 29 November. On its Telegram channel, the ministry reported that approximately 50 drones allegedly attacked various regions of Russia.
According to the Russian Federation, air defence systems destroyed 47 drones.
Distribution of drones by region
A statement from the Russian Ministry of Defence reads as follows:
- Rostov region: 29 UAVs were destroyed.
- Krasnodar Territory: 8 drones were shot down.
- Belgorod, Bryansk and Voronezh regions: 3 drones in each region.
- Occupied Crimea: 1 drone was destroyed.
In recent months, the Russian Federation has regularly reported drone attacks on its territory. Such incidents cause panic among the local population, particularly in the border regions. At the same time, the reliability of the information provided by the Russian side has been repeatedly questioned.
The Ukrainian side usually does not comment on such statements by Moscow, adhering to a strategy of information silence regarding operations in Russia.
