Russian Federation intensifies activities in the south: over 700 drone attacks, 480 shelling and air strikes on civilians

The Russian army has significantly increased its combat activity on the southern front, resorting to massive assaults, intensive use of kamikaze drones and missile attacks. According to the Southern Defence Forces on Telegram, the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions 58 times in the last day alone, carrying out 10 air strikes.

In the Novopavlivka sector, the occupants conducted 50 attacks, in particular on the settlements of Novopil, Novosilka, Pryvilne and Zelene Pole. The enemy actively used unguided aerial vehicles (UAVs) to fire massively at Gulyaypole, Novodarivka, Malynivka and the same Novopil positions.

In the Orikhivsk sector, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled seven attacks near Novodanylivka, Kamianske and Stepove.

One unsuccessful Russian assault attempt was recorded in Prydniprovia near Antonivskyi Bridge.

In total, almost 480 attacks were registered over the last day, during which the enemy used about 2,000 rounds of ammunition.

The use of 700 kamikaze drones, including Lancet barrage munitions, is of greatest concern. There were also more than 300 drops from UAVs, which used 450 munitions. As a result, settlements in Mykolaiv, Kherson and Dnipro regions were affected.

In addition, the enemy carried out 10 air strikes on civilian infrastructure, using 18 CABs and 106 NARs. Novodarivka, Zelene Pole, Novopil and Kamyshuvakha in Zaporizhzhia region were hit the hardest.

Artillery and multiple launch rocket systems also continued to shell frontline villages and towns in Mykolaiv, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions.
