Russian invaders failed to hold their positions on the left bank of Kupiansk in Kharkiv region. This was reported by the head of the Kupyansk city military administration (MVA), Andriy Besedin, in a commentary to the Dumka media outlet on 14 November.

According to the official, the Russian landing force that broke through to the city the day before was destroyed. “They were destroyed,” Besedin commented on the outcome of the clash between Ukrainian forces and the occupiers, who fled to their homes on the left bank of Kupyansk.

By the morning of 14 November, the situation in Kupiansk was under control of Ukrainian troops. According to the DeepState project, enemy convoys of vehicles moving towards Kupiansk from the area of Lyman Pershyi were destroyed by the Ukrainian military. The occupiers, who fled with the equipment, tried to fortify themselves in residential buildings, but were unable to gain a foothold in the captured positions.

During the attempt to capture the city, the Russians called in reinforcements, but these forces were also destroyed by the Ukrainian Defence Forces.
