In the area of responsibility of the Donetsk operational and tactical group in the Pokrovsk sector, Russian troops are trying to advance, but to no avail. This was reported by the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi.

According to him, Ukrainian soldiers are using active defence tactics, inflicting significant losses on the enemy and even advancing in certain areas of the frontline. Since the beginning of March, the artillery of the Defence Forces has carried out about 100,000 firing missions, and drone operators have carried out more than 81,700 strikes, including 158 using DeepStrike.

During a meeting with the command, Syrskyi outlined the key tasks for April: strengthening defences, increasing the number of EW-resistant drones, manning units and improving training. He also emphasised the positive results of the updated general military training course, which has helped to reduce casualties among Ukrainian defenders.

The Ukrainian army continues to hold its lines, while inflicting painful blows on the enemy and forcing it to lose the initiative.
