Over the past day, Russian occupation forces continued active offensive operations in all sectors of the frontline, conducting 245 combat engagements. The highest intensity of attacks was recorded in the Pokrovske, Kurakhove and Vremivske sectors. This is stated in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Kursk bridgehead: 68 assaults per day
The Russians focused special attention on the Kursk bridgehead, where the enemy launched 68 assault attacks over the past day, trying to break through the defences of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In addition, the enemy launched 6 air strikes using 12 guided aerial bombs and fired 341 times at Ukrainian troops’ positions and settlements.
The situation in other areas
Kharkiv sector: three enemy attacks in the areas of Hlyboke and Kozacha Lopan were successfully repelled.
Kupyansk sector: four combat engagements took place. Ukrainian defenders repelled attacks in the areas of Kucherivka, Zahryzove, Lozova and Petropavlivka.
Liman sector: the enemy concentrated its forces in the areas of Kopanky, Vyshneve, Terny and Serebryansky forest. Ukrainian troops stopped 16 attacks.
Siverskyi sector: militants attacked 16 times near Bilohorivka, Verkhnekamianske and Siversk.
Kramatorsk sector: 8 attacks were repelled in the areas of Orikhovo Vasylivka, Chasovyi Yar and Stupochky.
Toretsk direction: Russians tried to advance 12 times in the areas of Toretsk and Shcherbynivka.
Pokrovske sector: 52 attacks were recorded in the areas of Lysivka, Dacheske, Zelene and Ukrainka.
Kurakhove sector: 30 attacks were repelled near Sontsivka, Kurakhove and Yantarne.
Vremivsk sector: Ukrainian forces stopped 22 attacks near Rozdolne, Neskuchne, Uspenivka and Blahodatne.
Orikhivske direction: Russian troops attacked five times in the area of Novoandriivka.
In the Dnipro sector, the enemy made 4 unsuccessful attacks on Ukrainian positions.
General result
Ukraine’s defence forces are steadfastly holding their positions, inflicting significant losses on the enemy in all directions. The most active hostilities continue in Kursk region, where the occupiers have concentrated significant resources to try to break through Ukrainian defences.
The Ukrainian defenders demonstrate a high level of coordination and combat readiness, restraining the enemy’s offensive and inflicting significant losses.
