SBU drones stop oil pumping station in Krasnodar region of Russia

Security Service of Ukraine (SSU)

The Security Service of Ukraine’s drones hit and shut down the Novovelichkovskaya oil pumping station in the Krasnodar Territory of Russia. This was reported by a source in the SBU.

“Novovelichkovskaya is a key element in the transportation of oil in the Kuban: it supplies raw materials to the Afip and Ilya refineries.

According to the source, the drone strike hit the 110/35/10 kV power substation that supplied power to the NPS. As a result, a fire broke out, causing a complete blackout of the station and an emergency shutdown of oil pumping.

At the moment, Russian services are assessing the damage.

This is the eighth successful SBU operation since the beginning of the year aimed at destroying Russia’s fuel infrastructure. Such strikes cause multimillion-dollar losses to Russia’s fuel sector and complicate the supply of fuel to the Russian army.
