On the night of 30 April, Ukrainian Security Service drones attacked the Murom Instrument-Making Plant in the Vladimir region of the Russian Federation, a strategic facility that manufactures ignition systems for ammunition and components for the aggressor country’s navy and aviation.

This was reported by Ukrinform, citing Ukrainian law enforcement agencies.
According to preliminary data, at least 5 explosions occurred, two buildings of the enterprise were damaged, and a large-scale fire broke out.

“The plant is included in the sanctions lists of Ukraine and the EU because of its critical role in supporting Russian aggression. The SBU decided to expand these sanctions slightly,” the source commented.

According to local authorities and media reports, the drones destroyed a warehouse and a factory gate and damaged another building. The regional governor, Alexander Avdeev, acknowledged the fire without naming a specific enterprise and reported that the fire had been contained.

It is known that the Murom plant is part of the Russian defence concern Tekhmash, which is part of the Rostec state corporation. It is here that high-precision military products are manufactured, including elements for aircraft shells and naval missiles.

The area around the plant has been closed off, and Russian special services are working on the site.
