Over the last day, 112 combat engagements were registered in the frontline between the Ukrainian Armed Forces and Russian occupants. The hottest fighting continues in the Pokrovsk sector, where Ukrainian troops repelled 34 enemy attacks.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the General Staff, the Russian army continues massive attacks on Ukrainian troop positions and civilian infrastructure. Over the past day, the enemy conducted 81 air strikes, dropping 135 guided aerial bombs, and fired over 5,300 times, including 47 times from multiple launch rocket systems. The enemy also used 2,785 kamikaze drones.
Active hostilities continue in the areas of Vovchansk, Kupyansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Maryinka. The invaders are most active in the Pokrovsk sector, attacking the positions of Ukrainian troops in the areas of Vodiane Druhe, Novotoretske, Yelizavetivka, Promine and Ulaklivka. At the same time, in the Novopavlivka, Orikhivske and Prydniprovskyi sectors, Ukrainian troops successfully held off enemy attacks.
Defence forces continue to strike at the occupiers’ positions. During the day, Ukrainian aviation and artillery struck two command posts, 15 areas of concentration of enemy manpower and equipment, as well as two enemy artillery units.
The total combat losses of the Russian army in Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale invasion amount to about 867,180 people, including 1,180 in the last day.
