Situation in the frontline: 203 combat engagements in the last day, most of them in the Kurakhove sector

On 11 December, 203 combat engagements were registered in the frontline, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The most intense fighting took place in the Kurakhove sector, where the occupants carried out 49 attacks.

Main areas of combat operations

  • Kharkiv sector: Russian troops attacked Ukrainian positions six times near Hlyboke, Lypky, Starytsia and Vovchansk.
  • Kupiansk direction: There were 14 attacks in the areas of Zakhidne, Pishchane, Lozova and Zahryzove.
  • Liman direction: 30 attacks, including near Tverdokhlibove, Hrekivka, Makiivka and Serebryansky forest.
  • Siverskyi sector: One attack was repelled near Verkhnekamianske.
  • Kramatorsk direction: The enemy stormed positions near Chasovyi Yar and Stupochky twice.
  • Toretsk direction: Five attacks by the occupiers in the area of Toretsk, using guided aerial bombs.
  • Pokrovske direction: The highest intensity of hostilities was observed – 40 attacks by Russians supported by aviation. The enemy acted near Pokrovsk, Shevchenko, Pishchane, Lysivka and other localities.
  • Kurakhove direction: 49 attacks were registered. The occupants were active near Sontsivka, Zorya, Katerynivka, Yelizavetivka and others.
  • Vremivsk direction: 29 attacks by bombers.
  • Orikhivske direction: One attack near Novoandriivka.

Enemy losses and counterattacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces

The missile forces and artillery of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were impressive:

  • 4 enemy control points.
  • 4 areas of concentration of personnel and equipment.

The enemy carried out two missile and 15 air strikes over the day, firing more than 3,500 times, including 134 times from multiple launch rocket systems. The occupiers used more than a thousand kamikaze drones to carry out the attacks.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces are actively undermining Russia’s offensive potential, causing significant losses in manpower and equipment. In the Kursk region, 22 attacks were repelled.

The General Staff emphasises that Ukrainian defenders continue to bravely hold back the enemy’s offensive, inflicting significant losses and maintaining control over key areas.
