Special operation “Web”: SBU destroys one third of Russian strategic aviation

The Security Service of Ukraine has delivered a devastating blow to Russia’s strategic aviation in the framework of the special operation “Spider’s Web” , hitting 34% of cruise missile carriers at key enemy airfields.

This was reported by the SBU on Facebook.

The strikes targeted four airfields: “Belaya, Diagilevo, Olenya and Ivanovo. The operation destroyed more than 40 enemy aircraft, including A-50s, Tu-95s and Tu-22M3s.

The estimated cost of the destroyed Russian aircraft is $7 billion.

The special operation was prepared for more than a year and a half, overseen by President Volodymyr Zelenskyi and implemented by SBU Head Vasyl Maliuk and his team.

The SBU stated:

“We will beat the enemy at sea, in the air and on the ground. And if necessary, we will get them out of the ground.”

The statement also quoted Lina Kostenko:

“Did you think Ukraine was so easy? Ukraine is super. Ukraine is exclusive…”

The details of the operation were promised to be made public later.
