On 30 December, the Ukrainian military launched a missile attack on the headquarters of the 76th Division of the Russian Airborne Troops in the city of L’gov in Kursk region. The attack killed three lieutenant colonels of the Russian army, Russian media reported.

Deceased officers:

• Valeriy Tereshchenko is the division’s chief of communications.
• Pavlo Maletskyi is the commander of an engineer battalion.
• Alexey Seliverstov is the head of the chemical, radiation and biological protection service.

In addition, Major Ali Tsurov was among the dead, and 22 soldiers were wounded.

Obituaries in Russian sources reported that at least eight officers were killed in the strike.
