Viktor Tregubov, spokesman for the Khortytsia operational and strategic grouping of troops, said that the dynamics of the fighting should not be linked to possible peace talks. According to him, some changes in the enemy’s tactics are explained solely by objective military reasons, not political agreements.
Tregubov said on TV that the reduction in the use of Russian armoured vehicles was due to their actual exhaustion, and that the switch to light vehicles was an attempt to adapt to the effectiveness of Ukrainian drones. “The enemy relies on speed, not armour. But this has nothing to do with negotiations – it is a forced adaptation to changes on the battlefield,” he explained.
The spokesperson also stressed that there has been no decrease in the intensity of attacks – on the contrary, the number of attacks, including on civilian infrastructure, remains consistently high.
“The peace talks have no impact on the enemy’s actions, both at the front and in the rear,” Tregubov stressed.
