On the night of 5 June, Russia launched a massive attack using 103 drones, including Shahed strike drones and simulation drones. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, air defence destroyed 74 of them, including:
- 28 UAVs were shot down by firepower;
- 46 drones were suppressed using electronic warfare (EW).
In addition to drones, the occupiers also used an Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missile launched from the Rostov region.
Main areas of attack: Chernihiv, Kharkiv and Odesa regions.
The attack lasted from 22:30 on Wednesday, 4 June, from the directions of Kursk, Orel, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk and the temporarily occupied Crimea (Chauda).
Unfortunately, 16 locations were hit. Detailed information on the damage and casualties is being updated.
The attack was repelled:
- Aviation of the Air Force,
- Anti-aircraft missile troops,
- Electronic warfare and UAV units,
- Mobile fire teams.
