The Ukrainian military has eliminated another Russian Su-25 attack aircraft. The successful operation was carried out by the soldiers of the 28th separate mechanised brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign.
This was reported by the brigade’s press service on Telegram on Saturday, 8 February.
“One less Russian attack aircraft in the Toretsk sector thanks to our air defence servicemen,” the statement said.
The Su-25 is an armoured attack aircraft actively used by Russian troops to support ground operations. The destruction of such aircraft significantly weakens enemy aviation and reduces the threat to the Ukrainian military and civilians.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to effectively counter Russian air attacks, destroying enemy aircraft, missiles and drones.
