The Ukrainian defence forces have successfully pushed back Russian units near Pishchane in Donetsk region, where active hostilities are ongoing. This was reported by Nazar Voloshyn, a spokesman for the Khortytsia Joint Defence Task Force (JTF), on the United News.

According to him, the situation in Pokrovsk remains under control. There are no enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups (SRGs) in the city, and no fighting is taking place on its outskirts. However, the enemy is trying to move towards the city, trying to flank it to avoid a direct clash with Ukrainian units.

“We are well aware of the importance of Pokrovsk for the enemy, as a strategically important railway line passes through the town, which Russian forces want to capture. Nevertheless, the Defence Forces managed to push back the enemy near Pishchane and maintain control over the situation,” Voloshyn noted.

In the Pokrovske sector, the Defence Forces are facing a significant enemy advantage: the enemy is deploying four units, including the 2nd, 41st and 51st All-Russian Armies, to fight one Ukrainian brigade.

Regarding the situation near Uspenivka, a representative of the OTU “Khortytsia” said that Ukrainian units are carrying out stabilisation measures as part of the defensive operation. This allows them to strengthen their defence and maintain control over key positions.

“We are doing everything to ensure stability and prevent the enemy from advancing further. The units of the Defence Forces continue to perform their tasks, and the situation is under control,” Nazar Voloshyn summed up.
