On 22 November, 194 combat engagements between the Ukrainian Defence Forces and Russian troops were recorded at the frontline. The enemy is actively using aviation, artillery and kamikaze drones. This is stated in the morning report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 8:00 am on 23 November.
Large-scale attacks along the entire frontline
Russian troops launched two missile strikes, 67 air strikes using 97 guided bombs, and fired 4,560 rounds of shelling from various types of weapons. The attacks involved 1,490 kamikaze drones.
Despite the massive attacks, Ukrainian defenders not only restrain the onslaught, but also inflict significant losses on the enemy. The Ukrainian Armed Forces’ missile forces and artillery destroyed four areas of concentration of personnel and equipment, as well as three artillery systems of the occupiers.
Hot in key areas
- Kharkiv sector: the enemy tried to break through the defences near Vovchansk three times.
- Kupyansk sector: six attacks near Zelenyi Hai, Hlushkivka and Zahryzove were successfully repelled.
- Liman sector: 19 attacks were repelled in the areas of Torske, Hrekivka, Terny and Novoyehorivka.
- Kramatorsk sector: five attacks in the areas of Stupochky and Chasovyi Yar failed.
- Toretsk sector: eight attacks in the Toretsk area were successfully stopped.
- Pokrovske sector: the most fierce fighting – 44 attacks, including near Myrolyubivka, Promin and Lysivka.
- Kurakhove sector: 36 attacks, most intense near Berestky, Sontsivka and Kurakhove.
- In theVremivsk sector, the enemy made 30 attempts to break through near Trudove, Kostiantynopol and Rozlyv.
- Orikhivske direction: one unsuccessful attack in the area of Kamianske.
- Prydniprovsky direction: four unsuccessful attacks.
No signs of enemy offensive groups forming in the Volyn and Polissya sectors were observed.
Civilian infrastructure under attack
The occupiers continue to strike at civilian settlements. Air strikes were recorded in the areas of Liptsy, Bilohorivka, Siversk, Mala Tokmachka and others. Civilian casualties are currently being clarified.
