The Ukrainian Defence Forces continue to effectively destroy Russian troops and their equipment and undermine the enemy’s offensive potential in the rear.
Over the past day, 171 combat engagements were recorded, of which 42 attacks were repelled in the Pokrovsk sector. This is stated in the morning report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine of 27 December.
Main areas of fighting
- Kharkiv sector: two attacks were repelled in the areas of Vovchansk and Starytsia.
- Kupyansk sector: nine attacks in the areas of Zakhidne, Lozova, Kruhlyakivka, Bohuslavka and Nova Kruhlyakivka.
- Liman sector: Russians conducted 25 attacks with the support of air power, in particular near Kopanky, Cherneshchyna, Novosergiivka, Makiivka, Zarichne and Torske.
- Inthe Siversky sector, four attempts to drive Ukrainian defenders out of their positions near Bilohorivka and Hryhorivka.
- Kramatorsk sector: four enemy attacks in the areas of Chasovyi Yar, Stupochky, Bila Hora and Oleksandr-Shultyno.
- Toretsk sector: 13 attacks on Diliyivka and Toretsk.
- The Pokrovsk sector saw the highest intensity of fighting, with 42 attacks repelled in the areas of Vozdvyzhenka, Promin, Zelene, Pokrovsk and other localities.
- Kurakhove sector: 23 attacks were repelled near Petropavlivka, Slovianka, Andriivka and Kurakhove.
- Vremivsk direction: 24 attacks near Yantarne, Vremivka, Novyi Komar and other locations.
- Orikhivske direction: one unsuccessful attempt by the enemy to push Ukrainian positions near Novoandriivka.
- Prydniprovskyi sector: three attacks by the occupiers with losses.
Successful strikes by the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Ukrainian missile forces and artillery struck:
- 10 areas of concentration of enemy personnel and equipment,
- one control point,
- one enemy artillery system,
- one important piece of logistics infrastructure.
Despite the high intensity of the attacks, Russian troops suffer heavy losses and fail to achieve strategic success. Active actions by the Ukrainian Armed Forces significantly undermine Russia’s combat potential and bring Ukraine’s victory closer.
