Over the past day, the aviation, missile forces and artillery of the Ukrainian Defence Forces conducted powerful strikes against the Russian occupiers, hitting five areas of manpower concentration, a UAV control centre, artillery systems and enemy electronic warfare stations.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a morning update. A total of 112 combat engagements took place in the frontline over the last day, one third of which took place in the hottest sector – the Pokrovske direction.
Russians increase pressure, but without success
According to the General Staff, the enemy continues intensive attacks and the use of aircraft:
- 66 air strikes on Ukrainian positions and localities;
- 91 guided aerial bombs were dropped on the territory of Ukraine;
- 2,436 kamikaze drones were used against Ukrainian forces;
- 5809 artillery attacks on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The fiercest fighting was in the Pokrovske, Kupianske and Kursk sectors
The Pokrovsk sector remains the hottest spot on the frontline with 36 enemy attacks. The occupants attacked near Zelenyi Pole, Promin, Lysivka, Novopavlivka, Andriivka and other localities, but suffered significant losses.
In the Kupyansk sector, Ukrainian troops successfully repelled four attacks in the vicinity of Zahryzove and Hlushkivka.
In the Kursk sector, 23 combat engagements were recorded. The enemy carried out 30 air strikes, dropped 40 guided bombs and launched 393 artillery attacks.
Ukrainian artillery destroys the enemy
In response, the Ukrainian Armed For ces are effectively targeting enemy positions. Over the last day alone, they have been hit:
- 5 areas of concentration of the occupiers
- UAV ground control centre
- 2 artillery systems
- 1 radar station
- 1 enemy electronic warfare station
Ukraine’s defence forces continue to hold back the enemy and inflict significant losses on it. Fighting continues in all sectors.
