Ukrainian Defence Forces repel massive enemy attacks in Kursk region: operational situation

Ukraine’s defence forces continue to deter the enemy’s offensive in the Kursk region. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian defenders repelled 27 attacks by Russian troops over the past day. The most intense fighting is taking place at the Pokrovske, Kurske, Toretske and Siverske directions.

The hottest frontline areas:
  • Kharkiv sector: Ukrainian troops repelled 6 attacks near Vovchansk.
  • Kupyansk direction: The enemy tried to break through 4 times near Lozova, Petropavlivka and Zahryzove.
  • Liman sector: Russian proxies conducted 11 attacks in the areas of Balka Zhuravka, Novolyubivka, Myrne, Ivanivka and Yampolivka.
  • Northern sector: Over the last day, 20 enemy attacks were registered near Bilohorivka, Verkhnekamianske and Serebryanka.
  • Kramatorsk direction: The occupants tried to advance on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Chasovyi Yar, Hryhorivka, Stupochky and Bila Hora.
  • Toretsk sector: The enemy carried out 18 attacks in the areas of Toretsk, Druzhba and Dachne.
  • Pokrovske direction: Ukrainian troops stopped 35 attacks near Yelizavetivka, Promin, Dachenske, Kotlynove, Nadiyivka, Preobrazhenka, Andriivka and Ulakla.
  • Novopavlivka direction: Russians attempted to break through 5 times near Skudne, Burlatske and Kostiantynopil.
  • Huliaypillia direction: Nine attacks were repelled near Novopil and Pryvilne.
  • Orikhiv direction: The occupants carried out 4 assaults near Stepove, Nesterianka and Shcherbaky.
The enemy is actively using aviation and artillery

In addition to ground attacks, Russian troops carried out 29 air strikes, used 35 guided bombs and fired 422 artillery rounds, including 17 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems.

Kursk region: the hottest area of the frontline

According to updated data from the General Staff, as of 16:00, 26 battles were recorded in the Kursk region, most of which are still ongoing. The Russians are trying to advance towards the Ukrainian border to cut off logistical routes, but these attacks are not massive and are being met with stiff resistance from the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
